How to Keep Team Uniform Reorders Consistent

Plan repeat team-uniform orders with controlled style codes, pattern versions, colours, rosters, materials, artwork and approved samples.

How to Keep Team Uniform Reorders Consistent

A repeat team-uniform order appears simple because the design already exists, but consistency depends on the records retained from the first production. Fabric availability, dye lots, pattern revisions, artwork files and roster data can change. A controlled reorder process identifies what must match and what has been updated.

Use a permanent style identity

Assign a style code to each jersey, short, jacket or other item and include the season or revision where useful. The reorder request should reference this code instead of relying only on photographs or informal descriptions.

Lock the pattern and size version

Keep the approved measurement chart and note any fit changes made after sampling. If the new order adds youth, women-specific or extended sizes, confirm how those sizes will be graded and whether a representative sample is needed. Do not overwrite the earlier size chart without recording the change.

Control colour references

Retain Pantone references, approved print files and physical samples where possible. A screen image is not a reliable colour standard. Fabric and ink lots can vary within reasonable tolerances, so tell the manufacturer when replacement pieces will be worn beside the original kit.

Confirm material availability

Ask whether the same fabric construction, composition, GSM and finish remain available. If a substitute is proposed, review a swatch or sample and assess appearance, hand feel, stretch, opacity and print response before production.

Reuse approved artwork carefully

Reference the master files for team logos, sponsors, number fonts and placement. Mark sponsor changes or new league requirements clearly. Avoid sending compressed images from messaging applications when production-ready vector files already exist.

Create a new roster version

Copy the earlier roster into a new dated file, then update players, sizes, names and numbers. Check duplicates and spelling, and identify whether the order is a complete new squad or only replacement pieces. One nominated approver should lock the final version.

Compare the pre-production output

For a substantial reorder or any material change, review a new sample or first production piece beside the retained standard. Check measurements, colour, artwork, seam construction and branding. Document accepted changes so they become the standard for the next order.

Archive the completed reorder

Save the final quantities, files, approvals, packing list and revision notes under the same style record. This creates a reliable history for future seasons. Explore custom team uniform programmes, review the jersey sizing guide, or request a reorder through the quote form.
